Cemetery Flower & Decoration Policy:
Evergreen has the obligation and responsibility to all owners of burial property in Evergreen to maintain and preserve the appearance of the cemetery. The following are current flower regulations for interment, entombments and innichements. Cemetery management retains the right to remove all flowers and decorations when in management’s opinion their appearance is unsightly or unsafe.
Ground burials/entombments:
Fresh or artificial flowers are allowed in approved sub-surface type container or certain other vases as part of the memorial and approved by management. Flowers and other decorations not in approved containers may be placed on the grave seven (7) days before these holidays: Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and will be removed seven (7) days after the holiday.
All flowers will be removed from graves twice a year for general clean-up:
2 weeks after Memorial Day is observed and 3 weeks after Christmas.
Christmas decorations may be placed on the grave immediately after Thanksgiving.
Niches:
Above flower regulations apply, however only niche vases are allowed in the columbarium. Special arrangements may be placed on the table or marble hearth inside the columbarium chapel seven (7) days before the above holidays and will be removed within the third week after the holiday.
Additional Interment/Innichement Rights:
According to Evergreen’s rules and regulations, when a grave or niche is purchased it is for the purpose of one interment or innichement. Additional interments or innichements may be allowed in approved areas, however, with an Additional Interment/Innichement Right fee.
