James Nourtsis

James “Jim” Nourtsis passed away January 9th, 2022 at the age of 72. James spent most of his life in Chicago, Illinois before finally settling in Arizona for the last 13 years. A veteran in the United States Army, he had a love of military aircraft, history, art and was a musician in his younger years. He enjoyed Science Fiction, Fantasy and loved going to the movies as well as cultural and renaissance festivals. James is predeceased by parents Peter and Fanny of Kastoria, Greece and his sister Marianthy. He is survived by his daughter Christene and his grandson Devon who he had a very close and special relationship with; his son Peter (Tara) and granddaughters Kaitlin and Shannon; his son Jim and granddaughters Chelsea, Abby and Naomi; his son James (Kelly) and granddaughter Lauren and grandson Sebastian; he is also survived by his sister Sophia (John) who loved, protected and cared for her big brother fiercely; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim will also be missed dearly by his beloved German Shepherd who was his ever present companion for the last nine years.
