On Friday, December 6, 2019, Maria Jesus Garcia (Nena), passed away at the age of 88. Mom was born on November 8, 1931 In Nogales, Sonora. MX Mom excelled in school, and throughout her life, further educated and read probably a million books, very knowledgeable about many things, a perfectionist, creative and just brilliant. Mom's father Angel Favela and mother Lydia Romo Famela migrated to the U.S.A in 1949 Mom was 18 years old and shortly after the move, mom found the man of her dreams Pedro H. Garcia they married in 1951 and conceived 6 kids the youngest: Mary Ellen Garcia, Pedro F. GArcia (deceased in 2015), Robert F. Garcia, Martha Isela Garcia, Ernest Garcia and Henry Garcia, 13 grandchildren plus 2 step, 8 great grandchildren plus 2 step Had the hardest job of being a home maker, hard working, famous for her delicious food, a wonderful mother, wife, mother in law grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Survived bladder cancer and consequences of radiation that was too strong, the sudden death of our father and the death of her son She never realized how strong she was, we're very fortunate to have had for 88 years. SHe is no longer in pain, no longer suffering or struggling, she is most definitely dancing with dad and happy to be with all our loved ones up in heaven. God bless you mom and rest in peace.
