Just received the news today from our mutual sewing machine repair guy, Ron Sanchez. Marty gave me so much, a job and space to be creative, lessons on how to think and design "out of the box", even the house I rent and live in. I was crushed to hear the news today. I will carry her friendship and humor in my heart forever, My condolences to her family and friends.

Marty and I go back a long way. We met around 1975 and remained friends until this day. She was a remarkable person, and her friendship has been a gift. We didn’t need to communicate frequently to enjoy each other and feel the enduring bond.
Marty's lifetime of accomplishments, energy, grace, resilience, and humor brought so much light to the world. I miss her presence, but I know her spirit continues.
