Aldo Rustici's Obituary
Aldo Rustici (88) passed away December 30, 2014. He is survived by his son Joseph (Tina) and his daughter Lucy (Chris) and 2 granddaughters Cristina and Julia. Aldo was born in Parma, Italy May 26, 1926. He was raised on a farm and never lost his love of the land. As a teenager, during World War II, he was a partisan against German occupation. He immigrated to New York City in 1948. His first job was as a dishwasher at the Drake Hotel for $28 a week. Aldo was the embodiment of the American Dream. He was a successful businessman with over 50 years of experience as a real estate investor both in New York and in Arizona.
Aldo was married to a former Rosie the Riveter and Gimbals statistician, Bianca Rustici for almost 62 years, before her passing in 2012. They loved walking together and talking to just about anybody they could find along the way. When remarks were made about how they still held hands after so many years of marriage, Bianca would say, "it's not always about romance, we're really holding each other up!"
There will be a visitation Saturday, January 3rd at 1:00pm, at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel 3015 North Oracle Rd. with a small service at Holy Hope Cemetery mausoleum at 3:30pm.
