Alfred Wiora's Obituary
Alfred Wiora, 91, died peacefully on Jan. 29 in Tucson. Al was born on March 9, 1920, in Wild Rose, WI. He graduated from the Univ. of Penn. with a degree in electrical engineering and physics. During World War II he served in the army on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos, NM. He retired from Hughes Aircraft Company in Tucson in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Anne, and his children: Kathleen (Phil) O'Brien, Larry (Lynne) Wiora and Marianne Wiora and one grandchild Ryan Wiora. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1 starting with the rosary at 8:30 am and the funeral Mass at 9:00 am at St. Odilia Church, 7570 Paseo del Norte. He will be buried at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson. Al's final days were blessed with kindness through the care of the staff at Amber Lights and Casa de la Luz. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Retirement Fund for Religious, www.retiredreligious.org. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
