Alice Gallardo's Obituary
Alice Gallardo, known as “Grammy” to the many that loved her, was a wife, mother, grandmother, and mentor to so many children beyond just her own. She had a fierce love for her family, the lioness of the Gallardo pride, and often carried us away from trouble. She cared deeply for the homeless, and loved all people regardless of their background. With a gracious spirit, she welcomed so many into her home, her kitchen, and her heart. But even through her love, she was always willing to tell you how it is. A true chiflada, Alice was a fiery woman who marched to the beat of her own drum. She loved to dance, she loved to sing and be sung to, deserving every serenade she received. She leaves behind more than just children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but also a wide reaching group of family and friends who loved her deeply. Alice Gallardo, our Grammy, you will be missed.
Services will be held on Saturday (9/17/2022). There will be a rosary at 9:30 AM followed by a mass (10 AM) at Saint Augustine Cathedral (192 S. Stone Avenue). After the mass we will meet at Evergreen Cemetery (3015 N. Oracle Road), and then gather at the Knights of Columbus Hall (601 S. Tucson Blvd.) to celebrate her life.
*In lieu of traditional dark clothing, feel free to wear bright, traditional Mexican floral attire as this was her favorite. “No dark colors!”
