So sorry to hear of Aunt Alice's passing. I visited with her early on in her severe illness. She was convinced the Lord was keeping her here to share His Truth with others. As usual she was more concerned about others than her own physical battles. Her spirit was very strong and her conviction was stronger. It had been years since I visited with her due to my own "busyness", and she was an encouragement to me. Being so outward about her faith gave me joy-no question about who and what was the anchor in her life. I got to pray with her and even though we were miles apart we were in unity because of the Lord and family. My earliest memories of Aunt Alice were going to vacation together in the mountains. She was always the mover and the shaker with the ladies as to what was going to made for dinner or the activities. I think it was my Mom or Dad who used to say that Aunt Alice was the "Gibson side" and Mom was the "Terry side". (Not sure which was which, but whoever was the "mover" side and not as "laid back" was Aunt Alice!) My Mom shared a story that Grandma Terry told she and Aunt Alice if they ever wanted to try smoking they needed to invite her along-so, of course, it never happened. I remember taking a trip when in my early teens to Arizona and then on to California and she joined us on the trip! It was fun. She was witty and I enjoyed the times spent with her. Wish we could have been with you all during these last months, but we were in prayer. It meant a lot to Mom that Aunt Alice was still "fighting the fight" and she asked us to pray for her each time we prayed with Mom. Now, they are having a great reunion in heaven. We love you and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
