Anna Marie Oberdick's Obituary
Anna Marie (Burd) Oberdick of Tucson, AZ, passed away on January 13, 2014, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Charles and Sarah Virginia (Lear) Burd. Anna Marie leaves behind her husband of 61 years Earl Charles along with her four children Alice M. (C. Jeffery) Lutz of Grove City. OH, Loretta J. (Thomas) Napoletano of Kent, OH, Larry E. (Jo Linda) Oberly of Highlands Ranch, CO and Brenda L. (Richard) Striebel of O’Fallon, MO. Grandchildren include Michelle (Scott) Merchant (OH), Steve (Lisa) Napoletano (OH), Andrea (Jeffery) Smith, (NC), Ryan Brich (MO) and Andrew Oberly (CO). Surviving great grandchildren include Hannah Smith and Jacob Merchant.
Anna Marie is survived by all of her siblings including Agnes (Phil) Dezzutti of PA, Evelyn (Joe) Havrilla of PA, Thomas (Sally) Burd of OH, Nancy (Ted) Marron of MD and Ralph (Barb) Burd of FL. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
Prior to her relocation to Tucson in 1993, Anna Marie took great joy in hosting family reunions. She was a phenomenal baker and had retired from the Pymatuning School System in Andover, OH. Once in Tucson, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society as well as St. Paul’s Methodist Church.
Burial will take place at the Cherry Valley Cemetery, Cherry Valley, OH, at a later time.
