Anne H. Denny's Obituary
Anne H. Denny, age 85, died October 17, 2016. Born in Pasadena, CA to Evelyn and Tom Hood. She grew up in Pasadena and Roswell, NM. At Stanford University was a History major and Phi Beta Kappa and met Jack Denny, Jr. They married before he was deployed to Korea. At the time of his death they had just celebrated their 63rd anniversary. Anne attained her MS in Library Science at Indiana University. They lived in Tucson for 40+ years. She was a local librarian, and an avid musician. She played cello and recorder, and was a member of several musical groups. An avid genealogist, she traced the family’s roots, and was the family storyteller. With Jack, she loved contemporary art. They often traveled to Europe, and especially loved France. Anne is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews and a great grand-niece. A private memorial service will be held this month. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Museum of Contemporary Art, 265 S. Church Ave., Tucson, 85701, or to The Friends of the Pima County Library, 2230 N. Country Club Rd., Tucson, AZ, 85716.
