Anthony Joseph Aros' Obituary
Anthony Joseph Aros passed away at his home in Tucson, Arizona, on February
24, 2023. Anthony, called Tony by most of us, had been challenged by Multiple
Sclerosis for several years and was suffering from a period of relapse.
Anthony was born on October 4, 1972, in Tucson, Arizona, and is survived by his
parents, Ronald and Margret Vaughn Aros, his brother Jason Aros, Jason’s fiancée,
Tania Hinojosa, and his nephews, Deven and Brody Aros. He also leaves behind his
ex-wife Nicole Morris Aros and her family. He graduated from Tucson High School
and studied music at Pima Community College.
Those who ever met Anthony knew him to be a champion of the underdog,
women and children. He was a talented musician and a veritable encyclopedia of
knowledge about musicians and music styles. He collected an impressive
collection of guitar picks from performers from the many years he worked as a
stagehand in venues around the state. He valued his fellow stage crew members
as an extended family.
Anthony published his novel, “The When Trilogy,” in 2022 and has written a
variety of short stories and poems as well as several pieces of music. He played in
a Tucson band, The Black Cat Bones, for a short time and was a computer geek for
us all.
We will miss Anthony’s impetuous nature and strong opinions as well as his
gentle and loving heart.
