Anthony Edward Dobos' Obituary
Anthony Edward Dobos passed away on November 15, 2018 at the age of 61. Tony, was born on October 13, 1957 in Owosso, Michigan. He was the eldest son of Beverly (Wallen) Williams and Anthony Dobos Sr. (deceased) of Chesaning, Michigan. Tony was a veteran of the US army and was stationed in Germany and Ft. Carson, Colorado. He lived most of his life in Colorado Springs and Denver until he moved to Arizona in 2015. Tony is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Marietta) Calhoun (North Carolina), his mother, Beverly Williams (Arizona), his life partner of 19 years, Mary Gilmore (Michigan), and siblings: Colleen Sanders (California), Pamela Dobos (Arizona), and Mark Dobos (Arizona). He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Joseph Dobos. Tony grew up on Peet Rd. in Chesaning, Michigan with his Mom, Dad, and four brothers and sisters. He attended Chesaning High School before enlisting in the army and moving to Colorado. He met Sheila Marietta in 1978 and his daughter, Cynthia, was born May, 21, 1979. Tony was a very gentle, kind, and loving person and did as much as possible to help others in need. Tony enjoyed working with wood crafts and created many unique pieces through the years which he gave to those he loved. His favorite pastime was playing bingo, and he met his life partner, Mary, at a bingo event. In 2015, Tony was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder. He moved to the VA Home in Tucson, Arizona and spent his remaining years in the wonderful care of the VA facility. Tony will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be held at Evergreen Mortuary Chapel with a visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM following will be a Chapel service at 2:00 PM.
