Antonia Figueroa Montano's Obituary
Mom/Nana/Old Nana, as she is known to our family, was born on June 13, 1937 in Patagonia, AZ. She joined her loving husband of 56 years (our Dad/Tata/Old Grandpa John Albert Montaño) in heaven on May 14, 2017. She was surrounded by family in her final hours.
She is the loving mother of Maria M. And Tom Avilez, Monica and Hector Acedo, John Montaño, and Terry and Joe Arvizu. She is the cherished Nana of 12 grandchildren, "Old Nana" of 12 great grandchildren and Tía to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and her loving brother.
She especially loved spending time as "Old Nana" with the great-grandchildren, watching them swing in her back yard. She loved ALL of her babies and especially cookies! She will be tremendously missed by all of us. With broken hearts, we thank you for the honor of allowing us to have loved and cared for you, Mom, and for the unconditional and forgiving love that you gave to us all in return.
Graveside Service will be held Monday, May 22, 2017, 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior at EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. www.evergreenmortuary-cemetery.com
