Arin learned sign language very young. She had a vocabulary of about 30 words when she was two years old.
Her first word was EAT.
Her second word was MORE.
When she was a little older and we had a dog, Sadie. Arin would try to talk to the dog. When she realized the dog could not talk, she would sign to her.
This is my precious Arin in October 2023.
She was already sick, but not diagnosed with Alzheimers yet.
Always happy and smiling.
She was the joy of my life.
Arin loved going to Tombstone. She would always buy a new badge to wear. Her favorite badge was "Brothel Inspector".
She loved cowboys. She met Waylon Jennings in the late 80's at the VA, he was visiting Vets around his filming at Old Tucson. He scooped Arin up in his arms and carried her with him, then gave her big hug.
I wish we had cell phones to take photos back then!

Arin participated in Special Olympics, her Grandma and Poppa loved seeing her compete.
