Arlene H. Siegel's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Arlene H. Siegel on February 10th at her home surrounded by her three sons and family. Arlene, 71, was born in Philadelphia in 1946 to Osman and Adaire Weiss. She moved to Tucson at the age of 16 and graduated from Rincon High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in education. She had a never-ending thirst for knowledge as she continued her education, earning her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Prescott College and a certification to teach the art of raw living vegan cuisine. She was a devoted mother who had countless passions in life. She was an outgoing person who would connect with new people on a daily basis, creating long-lasting friendships. Her education and entrepreneurial drive led her to start several businesses that empowered others to improve their mind, body and soul. She was a deeply spiritual person who transmitted positive energy everywhere she went. She was a firm believer that the end of her physical presence on Earth was not the end of her spiritual journey. She is survived by her three sons, Daniel (Jill), Sean (Erin) and Michael (Katelin), her grandchildren, Sierra, Karina, Aliya, Noah and Zander, her brother, Stephen Weiss and sister-in-law, Sherry and their children Ben (Dana) and Jessica (Chad) and grandchildren, Carter, Vivian and Imogen. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 13th at 11:00 A.M. at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Tucson Botanical Gardens or TMC Hospice.
