Arthur Solomon's Obituary
Arthur Solomon, the kindest and loving of men, passed away peacefully in Tucson Arizona on July 10, 2023. Born in Brownsville Pennsylvania, the youngest child in a family of five, he graduated from Brownsville High, home of the Brownsville Brownies. In 1951 he enlisted in the United States Air force and served from 1951-55. He served in the Korean War and when discharged, enrolled in the University of Arizona in Tucson. He studied there and several other Universities where he earned two master' Degrees, one is Guidance and Counseling and another is School Administration. He embarked on his career as a teacher, counselor and Principal believing there was no higher call than working with children. Arthur is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth, his only son, Barry (Melissa) two grandsons Daniel and Benjamin and numerous nieces and nephews. He received many awards honoring him for his years of dedicated service to the children and families of Tucson. An avid animal lover, Art asked that remembrances be made to Pima Animal Care. He knows his beloved pets will be waiting for him at Rainbow Bridge where together they will cross into a life of peace. Friends are invited to join the family for a meal of remembrance after the burial.
