Barbara L. Hagan's Obituary
On February 16, 2025, at the age of 87, Barbara Lynn Hagan went to be with her Lord. Barbara was born to J.P. and Mamie Ford in Santa Rita, New Mexico, on June 12, 1937. The hospital where she was born was lost to the open mining process, and she proudly became known as a "Space Baby."
On October 10, 1952, at the age of 15, Barbara and Charlie Hagan eloped in Deming, New Mexico. In 1956, their first child, Cindy, was born. Six weeks later, they moved to San Manuel, AZ. In 1957, their second daughter, Ginger, was born, and in 1961, they had a son Cliff. Barbara worked for AZ Water Company and eventually for the Mammoth San Manuel Unified School District, from which she retired.
Barbara was not only a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but also a Girl Scout leader. She ran Granny's Snack Shack at the Coppertown BMX track and later enjoyed volunteering at the local thrift store. She was an avid lover of the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles W. Hagan, in 2007. She is survived by their children: Cindy (Bruce), Ginger (Bob), and Cliff (Tammy); six grandchildren: Summer, Lynsey, Dusty, Danny, Billy, and Brady; and eight great-grandchildren: Marina, Brayden, Clay, Caleb, Kinley,
Emmitt, Margot, and Dalton. She is also survived by two sisters, Darlene Hailer and Wanda Dodson.
Barbara passed away at Heritage Manor at Lago Del Oro in Catalina, Arizona. She will be dearly missed, and we are happy that she is reunited with Dad once again.
Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
