Bernadine "Sami" Lietz's Obituary
Bernadine ‘Sami’ Lietz, 82, of Tucson Arizona, entered into eternal peace on Sunday December 31, 2017.
Sami was born in Hamtramck, MI., to Frank and Marie Dembinski, on July 23, 1935. In 1961, she fell in love with, and moved to Tucson. She eventually began working, as a cocktail waitress, at La Fuente Restaurant; she wasn’t there long before her dazzling personality got her the hostess title. She worked there for 40 years, becoming known as “The Queen of La Fuente”.
Sami is predeceased by her daughters: Cheryl Lietz, Rhonda Lietz, and Linda Mosesso; grandson T.J. Ferguson; and granddaughter Brandi.
Her loving memories will be cherished by her; daughter Susan Goodwin, of MI., son Ronald (Hilary) Lietz, son in law Michael Mosesso, five grandchildren; Stacy Tinley, Samantha (Andy) Poston, Jason (Shawna) Schaaf, Robyn (Terrance) Clark, and Shelby Lietz, eleven great grandchildren; Mikayla, Jason Jr., Taylor, Karysa, Asa, James, Zoey, Jacob, Gunnar, Zane, and Breydon, and her faithful sidekick Muppy.
Sami was an incredibly warm hearted and loving woman, and her smile instantly lit up a room. She deeply cherished her friends and family, and was greatly loved. She will be missed by anyone who knew her.
Services will be held Friday, January 19th, starting with a viewing at 11:00 am, Rosary at 11:30 am, followed by a Catholic mass at 12:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. Entombment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Lunch to be held after services. (Address will be provided at service)
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gospel Rescue Mission.
