Bess Falkow's Obituary
Bess Falkow passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2013. Born in Albany, New York, in 1918 she was the fourth of five children. While in grade school she met the love of her life, her late husband Maurice with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Following the Second World War, they relocated to Tucson and raised three children, Richard, Lynne, and Deena. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she spent many years volunteering at Congregation Anshei Israel, and once her children were grown, worked as a real-estate agent. She had a life-long affinity for the water, spending most summer days swimming and boating. Her first love was always her family, and she is survived by children Richard and Sheila, Lynne and Jack, and Deena, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren Michael, Janice and Mikayla; Alan, Beth and Ian; Lori, Steve, Sophie and Evan; and Brittany and Brandon. Services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, January 18, 2013 at Evergreen Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Congregation Anshei Israel Preschool-Kindergarten. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
