Betty Roberta Williams' Obituary
Betty Roberta Williams passed away on December 3, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. Betty was born in Oklahoma City to William and Mabel Neph on July 26, 1920, one hour after her twin brother, Bill. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in Home Economics. She married Geroge Hull in 1946 and had four children, Dan Hull, Thomas Hull, Tammy Litton and Melody Hoopes. Three years after George;s death in 1989, Betty Married Reverend James (Jim) E. Williams. They shared the same passion for spreading God's Word and together they were instrumental in starting small Churches in Sunsites and Dragoon, AZ. Betty was a founding member of Chapter UP.E.O., a member of The University of Arizona's Faculty Women's Club: she was involved with Caring Ministries, the Baptist Children's Home, Southern Baptist Women's organization, various adoption agencies, Arizona Baptist Children's Services, and the founding of Mountain View Baptist Church, which she, daughter Tammy Litton, and son-in-law Ed Litton, helped build. She is survived by children Dan Hull, Thomas Hull, and Melody Hoopes, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many , many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Mountain View Baptist Church and officiated by Pastor Ed Litton, Contributions may be made in Betty's name to Arizona Baptist Children's Services or Mountain View Baptist Church's Caring Ministries. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY, CEMTERY & CREMATORY, N. Oracle Rd. & W. Miracle Mile.
