Blanca Dora Aguirre Huerta's Obituary
Blanca Dora Aguirre Huerta of Tucson, entered heaven's gate to be with our Lord, Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Blanca was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico on May 6, 1933, and has lived in Arizona for the last 56 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Carmen Aguirre, and husband, Alberto Huerta. Survived by sisters, Gloria Gamez and Amelia Espejo. Devoted mother of Jesse (Fran) Huerta, Agustin (Alicia) Huerta, Carmen (Frank) Hemrick, Martha Huerta, Martin (Bonnie) Huerta, Blanca (Michael) Duran, Jean (Chris) Revello; nephew, Alex (Paula) Garcia and family; and caregiver, Manuela Mendoza. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Blanca raised her children with love and guidance, and valued her position as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and craft-maker. Blanca was a respected senior member of CCC (Centro Cristiano Carismatico) and Pio Decimo for the last 35 years and treasured the power of faith. She taught Sunday school for many years and adored attending special events at CCC. Blanca loved family gatherings and recently enjoyed her 80th birthday with family and friends. Blanca passed away in her home of 55 years after a courageous fight against cancer, surrounded by many family and friends. She will be truly missed, but remembered with beautiful recollections to last a lifetime. Blanca's family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to all of her special caregivers and Physicians, Casa de la Luz Hospice, FMC West Dialysis Center and CCC. Visitation 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, followed by a Chapel Service at 11:00 A.M.. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery.
