Bonnie Juliette Edwards' Obituary
Bonnie Juliette Edwards, 81
April 14th, 1944 - January 10, 2026
After earning her degree at Tufts University, Bonnie went on to do pioneering work in the area of psychiatric occupational therapy. She was a true expert in areas that held her interest; domestic antiques, e.g., textiles, china, silver, and chairs, 19th and early 20th century literature, American history, fine jewelry, fashion, and poetry are among those that spring to mind. She was brilliant at Jeopardy.
Bonnie died at her daughter’s home in Tucson, AZ, surrounded by family and her beloved dogs, following a long illness.
She is survived by her three children, her sister, and their families. We love her dearly.
THE COIN
Into my heart's treasury
I slipped a coin
That time cannot take
Nor a thief purloin, --
Oh, better than the minting
Of a gold-crowned king
Is the safe-kept memory
Of a lovely thing.
-Sara Teasdale
It was Bonnie’s wish that no public memorial service be held. Instead, please take a moment to reflect on your favorite memory of Bonnie. If you would like to make a donation in her name, Bonnie was a frequent donor to the Humane Society and our local Pima Animal Care Center, and would be honored if you continued to support organizations that provide care for animals.
