Brenda Darlene Figueroa's Obituary
Brenda Denogean Figueroa, 42, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully in the presence of family members on January 25, 2021.
Brenda was born in Ventura, California on January 8, 1979. She is the daughter of Lourdes Ibarra Walters and the late Armando Denogean. She is survived by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Fernando Figueroa Jr. and two sons, Fernando Jr., 14 and Angel,12. She is also survived by her brother, Armando (Andraya) Denogean and sister, Kirstie Walters.
Brenda graduated from Mountain View High School in 1998 and continued her education, graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies in 2004. She was employed as a union representative with the UFCW Local 99 from 2006 until 2019. Brenda was committed to serving her community and received several awards for her service.
Brenda’s greatest love and joy was her family. Brenda and her husband, Fernando, met in Junior High School and were inseparable since. They married in 2005 before family and friends. Brenda took great joy in raising her boys alongside her husband, supporting them in their endeavors as local baseball players. Brenda always put family and faith first. Her favorite saying was, “the family that prays together, stays together.”
Brenda was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton where she served in the sacristan ministry.
Brenda was a beacon of strength and light in every life she touched and it is this that will help sustain them until they meet again.
