Brigette Paraham's Obituary
Brigitte was fiercely loyal and protective of her mother Inge Paraham, and loving of her father Eugene Paraham who also preceded her in death. When she was younger, she would always do her best to shine bright for him. She played high school basketball and track while she was in Germany. She set quite a few track records in her high school career that according to her father have not been broken. He spoke of how fast she was and how she was able to carry that speed and focus into her college basketball career for Arizona State.
Brigitte worked as a school psychologist in Gwinnett County Georgia where she showed great compassion and commitment for the students on her caseload. She also demonstrated exceptional leadership skills for the school board and district leaders. In her spare time, she found enjoyment being a socialite of the Georgia community where she offered her insights and critique of various social settings and events. Brigitte returned to Arizona in the summer of 2016 to care for her mother after her mother suffered a serious illness. Brigitte spent the next five years attending to her mother while working full time. She was dedicated to her mother’s recovery. She suffered great loss with her mother’s passing. Brigitte serviced public schools in Vail and Tucson, Arizona as a school psychologist. She supported the needs of children in preschool through high school. She was a champion for special education students’ needs working to ensure these students received the best educational services to be successful. Brigitte worked with staff and administration to be certain she obtained appropriate information to make informed decisions regarding students’ needs. She frequently offered her support to regular education students and teachers.Brigitte was a devout Christian who attended her Baptist church and read scriptures regularly. It was common to receive text messages from Brigitte in the wee hours of the morning as she was awake reading scripture. She was a loyal friend who will be greatly missed.
