Bruce Eugene Gregory's Obituary
Bruce Eugene Gregory passed away on October 14, 2014 at home in Tucson. He was born on February 19, 1948 in Hopewell, Virginia to Alvin and Consuelo Gregory. When Bruce was four, they moved to Tucson and in 1956, Bruce’s brother, Dennis, was born. Bruce served in the Air Force from 1969 to 1973, spending time in Alaska. In 1986, he married Karen and in 1989 welcomed twin boys Steven and Kevin, younger brothers to Bruce Anthony, now 44, Bruce’s son from a previous marriage. Bruce worked as a mechanical engineer at Hughes Aircraft and Burr-Brown until he retired. He loved racing, waking at 2 a.m. to catch a Formula 1 race live and watching NASCAR religiously. Bruce was meticulous in everything he did, from his artwork, to hand drawn diagrams and schematics, and the cars he fixed. Bruce’s most beloved past times were: sitting in the perfect spot on the couch, listening to his collection of albums as well as sitting on the back porch with his wife, family, and friends, to enjoy a beer and watch a desert sunset. Bruce is preceded in death by his father (1991); his mother (2007); and his brother, Dennis Gregory (2011). Bruce is survived by his wife, Karen, sons: Steven (Ashley); Kevin, Bruce Anthony sister in law Kim and his grandchildren: Teddy, Robert and Jessica.
