Carlos Arias

Carlos and I worked for about a week, over the summer, on the math calendars. These calendars helped the math teachers pace their lessons over the school year. Two things stood out to me about Carlos: he was both humble and generous. Humble, because he wasn't afraid to ask for help when he needed it. Generous, because he was willing to share his expertise, if he had the answer to a dilemma.

One such dilemma I remember regarded the instructions about the calendars. I had embedded my instructions into the calendar but wasn't sure if the teachers would see them. Carlos suggested I put the instructions into the email itself, when I send out the calendars to the teachers. It was a simple, logical solution that I had missed.

I had the good fortune to see and speak to Mr. Arias, Carlos, almost everyday last school year. We both had 6th grade lunch. He always had kind words and a positive attitude. Mr. Arias made me want to be a better person. May God bless him, may God bless his family and loved ones today and always.

Mis condolencias a la Familia Arias Valencia. A sus hijos, padres, hermanos y esposa. Por la irreparabale perdida de Carlos Arias. Fue un gran companiero de trabajo, anios atras en el periodico El Imparcial. Hoy me entero de que ha partido, y me uno a la pena que embarga a la familia. Y deseo que Dios les ayude en el proceso de concebir la ausencia de un ser querido, no obstante, que permanecera por siempre en sus corazones y en los nuestros que le apreciamos y sentimos siempre el carinio y afecto a su persona. Descansa en Paz querido Carlos. Dios te reciba en su Gloria.
