Carol Ann Hyatte Holdeman
Carol A Holdeman, 80, died February 28, 2023 at home. She was born March 12, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Ora Oliver Hyatte and Louisa Irene Corse Hyatte.
Carol graduated from Penn High School, Mishawaka, Indiana, Class of 1960. She attended 2 years at Indiana University South Bend Campus.
Carol married Richard John Holdeman, Jr. June 5, 1965. They lived in Elkhart County until June 1, 1992 when they moved to Tucson, Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a Sister Elizabeth Sue Harrelson, a Sister Nancy Quiqley, and a brother Roy Lynn Hyatte. She has a surviving sister Judie Howie living in Edwardsburg, Michigan. Surviving in addition to her husband, daughters Tracy Westlake, South Bend, Indiana and Jennifer Bell Harris (Larry Harris), Tucson, Arizona and sons Jeffrey Holdeman (Julie Holdeman), Palatine, Illinois, and William Holdeman (Kathryn Harris Holdeman), Phoenix, Arizona. She also has 10 Grandchildren; Celic Bell, Ashley Bell, Eric Westlake, Susanna Westlake, Emily Holdeman, Sarah Holdeman, Kaitlyn Issa, Sarah Issa, Faith Issa and Hope Holdeman. In addition, she has 7 Great Grandchildren; Sariah Bell, Maleyah Bell, Cylas Bell, Zoe Bell, Nathaniel Westlake, Gabriel Westlake and Elliana Westlake. Carol loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol was active in Welcome Wagon Alumnae, Bunco squad, Sonoran Desert Corvettes Tucson and National Corvette Museum. She looked forward to the weekly cruises and monthly activities with the Sonoran Desert Corvettes Tucson.
Carol took a cake decorating class and loved to bake and cook, to read, cross stitch, work on crafts and solve jigsaw puzzles.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for April 29th at 10:00 AM followed by a light luncheon at St Marks United Methodist Church, 1431 W Magee Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85704. Those who wish to remember Carol in a special way may make gifts in her memory to St Marks United Methodist Church
