Carol Ann Leonard's Obituary
Carol A Leonard, 62, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012. She is survived by her husband Bob Leonard, son Richard Colclough, daughters Michelle Fisher, Alexis Leonard, and Kathy Leonard; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Carol was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where her career started as a jet engine mechanic; in 1976 she was the first woman to operate a 50 ton crane called Dolly. Carol was also selected to work on the SR71 Blackbird program for three yrs, and then she moved to finance to finish her 20 yrs. She continued to work for the military as a civil service member and was looking forward to her second retirement. Carol was and is an amazing woman in many ways, but most she was a proud woman that will be loved and missed by many. She is our GG. Visitation Sunday, December 30, 2012, 11 a.m. 2 p.m. with military honors by DMAFB Honor Guard at 1 pm at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
