Charles B. Grant's Obituary
Charles B. Grant, 89 of Oro Valley, AZ, formerly of Middletown, NJ. Passed away on Oct. 28, 2016. Just shy of his 90th birthday. Charles was born on November 18, 1926 in Staten Island, NY. Charles retired from Riverview Medical Center where he was Director of Food Service. He was very proud and honored to be a WWII Navy Veteran. He loved wearing his Navy cap, and when people stopped to thank him for his service. He was a member of The Shriners, Mason’s JDL #66, Scottish Rite 32, and a member Christ Episcopal Church. Charles loved to travel, golf and be with his family. He is predeceased by his mother Esther and father Harold Sr.; brothers, Harold and Warren and sister, Linda. Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years Mildred (Brower) Grant. His sons, Steven and Liz Grant of Tucson; Charles and Gayle Grant of Middletown, NJ; Harold and Julie Grant of Rogers, AK; Kevin and Dawn Grant of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; Daughters, Pam (Grant) and Harry Wedwaldt and Lisa (Grant) and Charles Szmutko of Oro Valley. Grandchildren Heather, Adam and Jason Grant, Gena and Haley Grant, Tyler and Jonathan Grant and Christine (Szmutko) and Jason Hinchliffe and Eric Szmutko. He is also survived by his brother, Robert; sisters, Ethel and Irene. Cremation will be private.
