Charles Ray "Pappy" Patrick's Obituary
Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the age of 83 to Parkinson’s disease. Ray was born on September 9, 1931 in Willard, Texas to John A. Patrick and Carrie E. Phifles.
Ray is survived by his wife, Annie “Grannie” of 60 years; three children, Rayeanne, Charleen and Clay; daughter-in-law, Cathy; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his son, Justin in 2014; his parents; brother, Gustin “GR” Patrick; sisters, Ollie May Bays and Glades Patrick.
Unfalteringly a gentleman, Ray’s winning ways, unusual wit, kindness and unpredictable sense of humor will never be forgotten. God has Ray in his keeping; we have him in our hearts.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 PM at Northwest Baptist Church, 2926 W. Curtis Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705 (corner of Curtis & Shannon Roads, if parking lot is full, please use the vacant spaces on the west side of Shannon Rd. just North of Curtis Rd.)
There will be a Celebration of Life at 3171 W. Bartlett Pl., Tucson, AZ 85741 (maps will be provided at the service). Daddy wanted an old fashioned backyard party filled with lots of laughter and great memories of time spent with him, mom, their family and many friends. There will be roast beef, chicken and water provided. We ask that you bring what you want to drink and a side dish if you can or even dessert.
