I met Charlie Towner when I taught at Our Mother of Sorrows School in the early 70s. He always had a smile for everyone, young or "mature". He loved coming into my classroom and visiting with the children. When I moved with my husband to Colorado we kept in touch. He was an amazing man and a wonderful friend. When I didn't hear from him at Christmas in 2019 I hoped that it was an oversight but now I know he went home. I still think of him often and the good laughs we use to share. I feel very blessed to have shared time with him.
