Cheri was my friend and mentor. I worked with Cheri at Rural Minnesota CEP. There was nothing Cheri couldn't do. My husband and I spent time with Cheri and Dick at their home on Munson Lake outside of Detroit Lakes, MN. We sailed, used the paddle boat and played with their cats. I even babysat the cats for them one weekend. We bowled together in Frazee, MN. We were so fortunate when Cheri was able to schedule a visit with us when she traveled back to Minnesota. It was always hard to say goodbye to Cheri. Cheri remembered all of our families and we were also the lucky recipients of her wonderful greetings cards. The one I remember most was the FROG (Forever Rely on God). I needed that spiritual encouragement at that particular moment of my life. I will miss her and will continue to keep her in my prayers. Like our mutual friend Marlene said "Cheri fought the good fight, and now is truly Home with her Savior and Lord. While we and many others will miss her, Cheri is Home for Christmas." I submitted a contribution for Altar Christmas Memorial Flowers at the Sacred Heart Church in Frazee, MN and also contributed money in Cheri's memory for the restoration of the Children's Stained Glass Window at the church. We will love her always.
