Cheryl Marie Overton's Obituary
Cheryl Marie Overton, 60, from Maple Grove MN passed away on June 30, 2022.
Cheryl was a navy veteran who attained the rank of petty officer 3rd class as a personnelmen. (PN3) and was stationed in San Diego, CA.
After her service, she worked for AAA insurance in California. Moved to Minnesota and she worked for Polaris Industries as well as a personnel manager for Wal-Mart where she was tasked with opening a new store in Shakopee, MN.
In Arizona, Cheryl volunteered with the Society of St Vincent de Paul for many years. Part of St Vincent de Paul was a program called Getting Ahead in which she facilitated classes for under resourced people.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Wallace and JoAnn Erickson. She is survived by her husband of 37 years David R Overton, sisters Debra (Ernie), Laura (Jake), brother Arthur, uncle Tom (Terre), a niece, great niece and nephew and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
