CLAIR WAYNE PARKER
(February 27, 1932 – November 3, 2016)
Tucson Arizona — Clair Wayne Parker, 84, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his home.
Born and raised in Nunda New York, the son of Wayne T and Hazel May (Bailey) Parker, he was a longtime resident of New York. He served in the Air Force and was stationed at the Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva, New York during the early 50's. During this time, Clair was married to Helen Bartholomew (now deceased) and in 1967 they had a daughter, Maryanna.
Clair was a jack of all trades working to support himself from the early age of 12. His work skills varied from farm work, construction, mechanic work, to working in the vineyards of New York upon retiring.
After meeting his life partner Barbara, they moved to Arizona in 2005. There they enjoyed their retirement in San Manuel surrounded by close family. They then moved to Tucson in 2012 to be closer to medical facilities.
Clair is survived by his Life Partner, Barbara Ordway of Tucson and Daughter, Maryanne Parker of New York. Step Daughter, Shirley Duran (James Allen), Step Sons, Roger (Karen) Quenan and Robert (Sherry) Quenan of Tucson, and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by a Sister (Florida) and a twin Brother (location unknown).
Clair was a one of a kind. He spent his last years taking such good care of Barbara who had been facing many medical issues. He was a quiet but very loving man. He will truly be missed.
