Claire G. Amigo's Obituary
Claire Amigo took her last breath on August 17, 2020.Claire was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1934, to Meyer and Dora Bergman. She had two sisters, Cecile and Helen.
She spent her childhood in the Bronx and moved to Queens when Lois, her daughter, was born.
Claire then lived in NY until her and her husband, Al, found paradise in Delray Beach, Florida.
Lois and her husband, Gary Berman, noticed Claire and Al needed some help, so they moved them to Arizona in December 2016.Claire and Al adapted very well to the desert and their new home. Unfortunately, Al passed away in June 2018.
Claire had many friends and enjoyed being close to her children.Claire loved to read, play word games, and do crossword puzzles. She played tennis in her younger days. Those that knew her would always comment on how she sent a card for every birthday. That is a tough act to follow! She always thought of everyone with a kind heart.
Claire is loved by many and her name Amigo says it all!
She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Lois and husband for many years, Gary Berman, her four grandsons, Jeremy, Andrew, Eric and Russell. Claire recently became a great grandmother from Andrew and his wife, Emily, and loved meeting Ivy. She is surrounded by her sister Cecile and husband Arnie, daughter in law, Rochelle, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and lots of friends.
Rest in peace, Claire Amigo.
