Clara Davidson's Obituary
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Davidson on February 11, 2013. Clara was born on December 21, 1919 to Anna and Samuel Vogel. She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years Sidney and survived by sons Joel (Catherine), Rob (Rita); granddaughter Amy (Kacy) Lockwood; grandson Adam; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clara was married to Sidney Davidson on April 4, 1943. In 1948 she moved to Tucson with Sidney, Joel and her parents for her mother's health. Although Tucson was much different from New York, Clara quickly adapted and made many lifelong friends. When Rob began the sixth grade, Clara decided she wanted to go back to work. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for TUSD for twenty years. After her retirement she volunteered three days a week at the Arthritis Foundation, the Cancer Society Thrift Shop, and the Assoc. for the Blind. Clara was an independent, loving, kind woman with a great sense of humor. She loved knitting sweaters for all the woman family members. She also had empathy for those less fortunate than her. She set a positive example for all who knew her. She was a long time member of Congregation Anshei Israel. Graveside services will be held this Thursday, February 14, at 12:30 p.m. at the Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Food Bank, or the National Exchange Club Foundation. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
