Classie Chereves Hawkins' Obituary
Classie (Sherry) Hawkins, 80, of Tucson, Arizona died on February 21, 2024. She was born in Leaksville, North Carolina to the late Charlotte Kremholz (nee Redmon) and Ted Holliman. Classie (Sherry) attended high school in Eden, North Carolina before relocating to Villa Park, Illinois in the early 1970’s where she joined her mother, step-father Charles Kremholz, and sister Sara Locke and family. Classie raised her two boys in Lombard, Illinois where she met and married the love of her life, Ken Hawkins.
Classie (Sherry) worked at Richardson Company in Illinois and then for Coca-Cola and Cherry Landscaping in Tucson. She loved her dogs, enjoyed cooking, collecting and sharing new recipes. She was the hub of the family and connected daily with many friends and cousins back in North Carolina.
Classie was preceded in death by Ken Hawkins, her husband of nearly 50 years. Classie is survived by her sons Kent Joyce (Kristy) and Timothy Joyce (Sheri), her grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
