Dale Warren Birchard's Obituary
Birchard, Dale Warren born January 31, 1927 in Ayreshire, IA, went on his final fishing trip on October 8, 2016. He joined his mom and dad, (Myrtle Prentice Birchard/Banks) and Clayton Eugene Birchard; siblings, Madge, Clarence, Herbert and Jenny; nephew Doug Bodenhamer, aunts and uncles and two beautiful women-Patricia Jean Birchard (Shearer-married 1957 to 1996) and Lois Ina Jarvis-Birchard(married 1999 to 2014). Dale had a huge family that included his son, Richard Birchard of San Francisco, CA and daughter, Rebecca Serrano (Birchard-Jim husband and all the Serrano family) of Pinetop, Az. He also has grandchildren, James Serrano(Jillian and soon-to-be-twins), Jennifer Serrano(son-Steel), as well as extended family Guy Jarvis (Michelle and Wesley), Jack Jarvis( and daughters), Nancy Martin (Roger and children) and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews etc. He is survived by his only surviving sister, Gladys “Birdie” Tibbetts (Howard)and her family, Karen Collette (Bill and kids), Greg Bodenhamer (Cheryl and girls), Sue Bodenhamer( Rene, Michelle and Lisa) and Bob Bodenhamer (Barb). Thank you for joining Dale in this journey of life from farm life to WW II Army, teaching woodshop, woodworking and traveling. He loved animals as well so in lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate in his memory to the Tucson Humane Society.
