Dale Norman Simpson's Obituary
SIMPSON, Dale Norman, 77 years of age passed away at his home in Tucson, AZ on October 11th, 2018. He was born in Keego Harbor, MI on December 12th, 1940 to Norman and Bertha Simpson. He had a brother, Howard and is survived by his sister Barbara. He was raised in Waterford Township, MI where he attended Waterford High School and Emmanuel Christian School.
Mr. Simpson proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as an electrician on the USS Shangri-La from 1960 to 1964. After returning from the Navy he got married in 1965 and became the loving father to five children. He moved his family to Tucson, AZ in 1971. In 1977 he remarried and then became the loving father to three more children. He is the cherished Grandfather to nine grandsons and ten granddaughters as well as six great grandsons and five great granddaughters. He was also blessed with many other family members and friends.
Mr. Simpson was a faithful member of Victory Worship Center in Tucson for many years. He loved the Lord and his children with all of his heart. He prayed for all of his family every day. He is now rejoicing with Our Lord Jesus!
Mr. Simpson was a proud member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local Union 570 for 50 years. He enjoyed exploring the U.S. by car and train. He got a thrill also by attempting to drive across the whole country on State Route 66, and almost completed it. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing and riding on anything motorized with speed having two or four wheels and even watercrafts. He also loved working on cars with his sons and has instilled that passion into them.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with Navy Honors, 12:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd., Marana AZ 85653. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to his church, Victory Worship Center. Arrangements entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary.
