David Calvillo's Obituary
In Loving Memory of David Calvillo
Beloved Son, Brother, Cousin, and the Most Amazing Uncle and Friend.
July 16, 1960 – June 8, 2025
With hearts full of sorrow but also filled with immense gratitude for having known such a remarkable man, we announce the passing of our beloved David Calvillo, who left us peacefully on June 8, 2025. He was not just a part of our lives, he was the heart and soul of our family: a cherished son, a protective and devoted brother, an amazing cousin, a loyal and caring friend, and the most loving and unforgettable uncle. He was truly one of a kind!
To know David was to be embraced by kindness, laughter, and unwavering support. He had the rare gift of making everyone feel special, seen, and heard. His sense of humor, wisdom, and selfless spirit brightened every room he entered. David was kind and friendly, which made others feel comfortable and connected to him.
David truly knew how to enjoy life in every way he could. He loved to travel, especially to México, and had a special place in his heart for theme parks, particularly Disney, where he held an annual pass for many years. He had a deep love for the theater, both as a talented actor on stage and as an enthusiastic audience member. He found joy in watching plays, dancing, listening to music, and playing board games with family and friends. He cherished time spent at the beach, loved swimming, going to the gym, and of course, enjoying a good cup of coffee.
Professionally, David dedicated many years of his life as a pension administrator. He worked with integrity and care, helping others plan for their futures. After retiring, he embraced life even more fully, filling his days with the family, friends, and passions he loved most.
David was the one we turned to for advice, comfort, or just a good laugh. He had a gift for bringing people together, whether he was telling stories, cooking a meal from the heart, or creating the family tree to preserve our legacy. He loved spending time with family and friends, and his presence made every gathering brighter. He embraced life fully, and in doing so, taught us all how to live with joy, curiosity, and love. He showed us that family is everything and that life’s greatest joys are often the simplest: spending time together, sharing a meal, offering a warm smile or enjoying a cup of coffee with loved ones.
His nieces and nephews adored him, not only for the way he spoiled them with love and attention, but for the way he truly saw them. He celebrated their joys, eased their worries, and stood by them through every chapter and added a little bit of magic into their lives. As a brother, he was a constant presence, a confidant, protector, and best friend. He was, without question, the most amazing brother, uncle, cousin, and friend anyone could ever hope for.
We will carry him with us in every smile, every family gathering, and every quiet moment when we need the strength he always gave so freely. We are better for having known him. We are braver for having been loved by him.
David is survived by his loving siblings Albert, Xavier, Cecilia, María Elena, Carmen, Raymundo and Rodrigo, all his nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless others whose lives he touched and who will forever treasure his memory. His departure has left an irreplaceable void that can never be filled, but also a lasting example of how to live with love, grace, compassion and wonder. And though our hearts are broken, his spirit will forever live on in the laughter around our tables, the stories we share, and the love we carry forward in his name.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel, where we will gather to honor the man who gave us everything he had: his heart, his kindness, his laughter, his playful spirit, and his endless love.
May you be in eternal peace with our heavenly Father, David. We will always love you.
