David L. Goodrich Sr.'s Obituary
David L. Goodrich, Sr. of Green Valley passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 following a long illness. He was the husband of 57 years to Cathy Hausman Goodrich, father to Brett Robert Goodrich of Gilbert Arizona and David L. Goodrich Jr. of Wallingford Connecticut, father- in- law to Tara Goodrich and Grandfather to Owen Andrew Goodrich and Evan James Goodrich all of Wallingford, CT. He is also survived by a sister, Judith Camera of Branford, Connecticut, and sister and brother- in- law Susan Hausman Ransom and Robert Charles Ransom of North Haven, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut Dave graduated from Hamden High School and Connecticut School of Electronics. He was employed by IBM for 41 years serving as a Customer Engineer, Systems Engineer, Instructor, and Printer Specialist during his tenure. Dave retired in November of 2009 to enjoy his family, friends and playing golf.
Dave also volunteered as a baseball coach, Cub Scout Leader and Cub Master. Until health problems interfered with his ability to play golf, he was an avid member of the Quail Creek Duffers. He also played with the Santa Cruz Seniors.
