David Irwin Wolsky's Obituary
David Irwin Wolsky born July 13, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 27, 2020. David grew up and lived in Chicago until moving to Tucson with his family in 1994. He embraced life in Tucson and developed many close friends as well as a love for bike riding and hiking. He had a passion for helping people and worked in the mortgage industry for over 26 years. His affiliation with Tucson Sunrise Rotary was so fulfilling for him, and he was so excited to donate his time and energy to that cause.
David was a talented artist in many different mediums. He explored Photorealism, Mixed Media and his latest love was Abstract Expressionism in a style he called “Pointlessism”. Art was an amazing outlet for him, and he spent many happy hours creating in his studio.
David was survived by his wife and best friend Faye Wolsky and his children Adam (Shikha Chaganti) and Becka, his sister Bari (Mark Ross) as well his nephews Jacob, Aaron and Jordan and his brother-in-law Len Ferleger (Donna Kruman) and nephews Ben and Jonah. David had a quick wit and was a loving friend. He was filled with kindness and compassion. He loved family, friends, music, and cooking. David and Faye were blessed to have each other in their lives for almost 38 years. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private funeral service was held on Thursday, 10/1. Donations can be sent to Tucson Sunrise Rotary, Congregation Or Chadash or The Drawing Studio.
