Where do I begin.... first and foremost tia Delia was a strong loving lady. Always standing her ground, and everyone knows never holding her tongue..lol...Every summer she came to California, we made memories everyday she was here. One summer they surprised us...and it was one of our best visits. I was brave enough to let Ces talk me into letting him drive. Lol it was an experience! After that scare I said..Ces don't tell ur nana, she is gonna yell at us. I wasn't worried about my parents or tia Cathy, cuz if anything happened they would tell me to fix it. But i swore Tia Delia was gonna tear me a new one. When we got home, she knew we did something. I think it was the scared look on my face. She said "Evita what did u do?" I said nothing... she didn't buy it...she said "tell me now"...I said " I let Ces drive"...she said "why would you do that?" I said..." he said his dad taught him, so I thought I'll let him practice." She gave me This Look. ..i knew it was over..we were getting yelled at...then she started laughing...she said..."mija his dad taught him to drive in Mexico...where it's dirt streets"....we all died out laughing....needless to say it was the joke of the summer!...I'm so glad God gave us the opportunity to make memories. ...My family and I were blessed to have such a loving tia and nina...I had the honor of helping them celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary...one of the best times ever!! I will miss tia dearly....but i will never forget the talks and laughs at her dinner table...or the wonderful visits we had every year in California...may you rest in peace tia..
