Denise Roehling McCalla's Obituary
Denise Roehling McCalla 52, died unexpectedly on November 11, 2013 after a brief battle with leukemia. Denise was born September 5, 1961 in Buffalo, NY. She moved to Tucson in 1980. Denise worked at the Mountain Oyster Club for 20 years. At the time of her death, she was their Art Director, coordinating The Mountain Oyster Club Annual Contemporary Western Art Show. She was the President of Iron Horse Neighborhood Association during the revitalization of that historic area. Denise was preceded in death by her father and stepfather. She is survived by her son, Karl McCalla and her mother, Gail Meder both of Tucson; her brother, Rob (Lynne) and sister, Rose (Ken), along with nieces and nephews in Alaska. Denise was a dedicated animal lover, rescuing any distressed animal she found. Her critters miss her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
