Dolores Scott's Obituary
Delores Scott was born in Tucson, Arizona on June 16, 1939. She was raised by her mother, Anna, and her grandmother loving called Big Momma. She had two older brothers, Edmond and Clemmie. She attended Dunbar and Tucson High School.
Delores credits her sister-in-law, Sharol, for her first job. She worked for Lerners Department Store for many years until they closed their doors. She was employee of the year and gained respect from colleagues and customers. She worked as a caregiver for the State of Arizona from which she retired.
She was very friendly and outgoing and made friends easily. She never wanted to learn to drive so she caught the bus everywhere. She was a faithful member of her church, Apostolic Morning Light, since it opened its doors in 1975. She sang in the choir and sang solos. She was Usher Board president for many years. She taught preschooler at Sunday School and loved to go to the church conventions with her mother. She had a special bond with some of the members of her church, Sister Centers and the Centers family, Sister Foster, Sister Taylor, Evangelist Hall, Quinetta Hill, and Raven Smith.
Delores was preceded in death by her Big Momma, her mother, Anna, and her two brothers, Edmond and Clemmie Scott. She leaves to morn her loss her niece - Tami Scott; a grandniece - Ashlei Loupe; and a grandnephew - Elijah (affectionately called Scottie by Delores) Diggs, all of El Segundo, California; her church family and many friends and neighbors.
