Dolores A. Wegner's Obituary
Dolores Ann Jecmenek Wegner
September 14, 1928-June 16, 2015
Our loving mother returned to the Father and her loving husband Louis on June 16, 2015. She lived a wonderful, adventurous life, surviving the Great Depression in a small town in Iowa which provided her family with many wonderful stories. She left Cedar Rapids, Iowa and traveled to Rochester, Minnesota to attend the Saint Mary’s Nursing program. There she met her lifelong pal, Louis. She graduated with honors and became an R.N. She was employed as an RN at St.Mary’s Hospital for 10 years. They settled in Rochester and raised their family of 5 children. They had many adventures camping and traveled out to Glacier National Park to marvel at the mountains. They retired to Tucson, AZ in 1994 where they enjoyed the heat after all the cold of MN.
Dolores is survived by 2 sisters: Judy (Don) Teply and Susan Wilbur, her children: David (Nancy), Barbara (Charles) Czarniecki, Julie, Mary Lou (David) Cunningham, and Steven (Tish). Her grandchildren include: Zach, Ryan, Cameron, Victoria, Eric, Kristen, Mary Pat, Molly, and Isabella, with 2 great grandchildren: Jack and Arden. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
