Donald Hugh Golden (Don) was born March 18, 1928, in Tallassee, AL, to parents John and Nora Lee Golden. He passed away on, July 5, 2021 in Tucson, AZ.
Don was survived by his wife, Marina Cisneros Golden, Son, John Phillip Golden, wife, Sarah, Daughter, Lee Cisneros Golden, husband, David Winter. Grandchildren: Nathan Golden, wife, Tammara; Jeremiah Golden, Aaron Golden Winter, wife, Megan; Hannah Golden Winter. His Great Grandchildren are Morghan Golden Kroesche, husband, Michael; Bayleigh Golden, Chloe’ Golden, Lilah Greer Winter and Ella Marina Winter. Don is predeceased by his parents; John and Nora Lee Golden, twin sister, Dorothy Mask, and sister, Carolyn Dean.
Don served in the United States Marine Corp for 3 years; 2 years were served in Cuba, where Don met and married his wife of 72 years, Marina Cisneros Golden.
Don graduated from University of Houston with a BS degree in Electrical Instrumentation.
Don and Marina moved to Deer Park, Texas in 1970 to be closer to his work at Rohm Haas. After retiring from Rohm Haas, Don went to work for Phillips Petroleum, where he also retired. Don also served at San Jacinto Junior College as a Department Chair and faculty member.
Don worshiped and served for 50 years at Deer Park First Baptist Church. Here Don served as deacon chairman, served on several church committees and taught Bible classes.
