Don Persellin is one of my dear friend’s dad, and I was blessed to know him. I had my first real art show at the JCC many years ago and he was the first person to purchase one of my paintings there. It was a stylized piece depicting a very beautiful, sophisticated European woman and he said it immediately reminded him of his beautiful wife, Sarah. I was honored to know he was touched by it, and it’s a memory I’ll always hold close.
