I knew Don from our time at UW-Platteville. My roommate, Mary Schieble, was from Baraboo, Wisconsin, as was Don, so we caught a ride with him to visit her parents on a weekend. He was always a kind person.

Don was a great person. I worked with him for many years at Miami. He was an humble man with a great vision of life and enthusiasm to go along with it all.
He was a person who wanted only the best for those he worked with and the company which he help to manage. There are very few people in this world with the natural abilities he had and yet rarely advertised himself. He succeeded because he was good at his job, his life and his desires to do good.

So long Don Prahl, the world was a better place with you and now it suffers a loss of a good man.
