Donna Avery, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on April 21, 1957, in West Covina, California, to Donald Hanson and Billie Lorenzen.
Donna lived a life full of heart, humor, and adventure. She loved to travel—whether across states or across oceans—and she embraced every opportunity to explore new places and create memories with the people she loved. Above all, Donna adored her family. Spoiling her grandkids was one of her greatest joys, and she did it with unmatched enthusiasm, warmth, and delight.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Micheal) Carnevale and Samantha (Paul) Blodgett; her cherished grandchildren, Denver, Savannah, Hutson, and Wyatt; and her great‑grandchild, Riley. Donna is also survived by her mother, Billie Lorenzen, and her siblings, Robin, Linda, Denice, and Chris.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian Avery, and her brother, Bill.
Donna’s legacy is one of generosity, laughter, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will continue to shine through the family she treasured so dearly.
